Wilber’s War – A Play – this Sunday – Salem MA. Old Town Hall, 32 Derby Square, May 26, 5 pm.

For those of you who missed the staged illustrated readings based on my book, Wilber’s War, in Hamilton and Topsfield, I am happy to report it is coming to Salem this weekend, staged by History Alive, Inc. For those of you not familiar with my book, it is the story of my family in World War II: A father’s odyssey, a mother’s secret, a son’s story. I used the hundreds of letters my father wrote from the Pacific Theater in World War II and my visits to the Pacific battlefields to unravel the tangled threads of my parents’ wartime lives. For more on the book, see wilberswar.com. I would love to see you there.

See the press release here.

Before the show, take in the Salem Arts Association exhibit “Roots” at Old Town Hall (lower floor). It is open 12– 5 pm.

Tickets $10 at brownpapertickets.com or at the door. Free for vets.Wilber's War single edition cover
